We respect your privacy and we guarantee that we will never sell your data or give it away to any third party.

Your data is safe with us, as our servers are located in Germany and we are subject to strict German data privacy regulations.

Something on your site is not working properly. What can I do?

Shame on us. That should not have happened. Please accept our apologies. Prior to the launch of ScubaVagabonds.com we have checked the site a thousand times, but obviously we missed that bug. Please contact us via our bug tracker and explain us in detail which problems you are having and we will fix them as soon as possible.

What can I do if I am facing problems booking dives and courses?

Please note, that ScubaVagabonds only acts as an intermediary between you and the dive shop. Please contact the dive shop directly. If the problem cannot be solved between you and the dive shop directly please leave us a note via our contact form and we try to arbitrate.

When do I have to pay for my booked dives and courses?

The full price will have to be paid directly at the dive school. Please check which means of payment the dive shop is accepting. In some areas the dive school will add a credit card surcharge as well.

Can I cancel my bookings and how much are the cancellation fees?

Bookings can be cancelled free-of-charge at any time prior to the starting date of the booking by simply cancelling the booking in your account. After the starting date you can cancel your booking by sending a mail via the dive shops contact form on ScubaVagabonds.com.

I booked my scuba holidays with a dive shop on ScubaVagabonds.com. Where do I get information about the dive sites?

In the near future you will find this information in our wiki. Until then we kindly ask for your patience.

How can I import my dives?

Currently you have two options importing your dive data. You can fill in all the required fields in your logbook form or import your dive data from an SDE file you exported from Suuntos Dive Planner.

My dive computer is from company XY. Can I import my dives from that one?

No, unfortunately not. At the moment only (most of) Suunto dive computers are supported. But we are planning on supporting others in the future as well.

I am missing feature XY and would love to have that implemented in ScubaVagabonds!

Is ScubaVagabonds.com available in any other languages than English?

No, currently ScubaVagabonds.com is only available in English. But we are planning on releasing other languages in the future.

I found inappropriate content published by other users. What can I do?

After deletion of my account, what will happen to my data and all the content I posted?

We do hope that you stay with us forever of course, but if you really, really decide to delete your ScubaVagabonds account, all your data and content will automatically be deleted.

Is ScubaVagabonds.com free of charge?

ScubaVagabonds.com comes with absolutely no setup fees and no monthly fees. You only have to pay a commission according to our price list for confirmed bookings.

I want to register my dive shop on ScubaVagabonds.com. How can I do that?

Please visit our tutorial page for a video on how to register a group with us.

Is it possible to create more than one group?

Yes, you can create as many groups as dive schools you own.

Our dive shop is providing accommodation as well. How can we list our rooms on ScubaVagabonds.com?

We kindly ask for your patience as an availability calendar is not implemented yet. Be sure that it is on top of our road map.

Is it possible to register a liveaboard?

Yes, you can register a liveaboard with us. Please note, that the feature "liveaboard bookings" will be added soon as it requires an availability calendar that is not implemented yet.

Is it possible for private users to register a group?

No, unfortunately not. Only commercial users actually having a diving related business (e.g. dive shop, liveaboard, diving organization) are allowed to register a group.

I would like to add videos and more pictures to our group profile. How can I do that?

This possibility will be added soon. Until then we kindly ask for your patience.

Where can I find the administration of my dive school?

After logging into your account, please visit "Dive Schools" > "Admin". In the "Admin" you can edit all the settings including courses and dives.

Can I post the dives and courses I am offering in the section "Events" of ScubaVagabonds?

No, it is not allowed to post your offers in the events section. Please list them in the section "Courses & Events".

In our dive shop we are offering other payment options than the ones listed in the backend of our account.

Please leave us a message via our contact form and we will add the new means of payment as soon as possible.

A customer cancelled his booking. Can I charge him or her any cancellation fees?

No. By accepting our terms and conditions you agreed on not charging any cancellation fees at all.

A customer cancelled his booking. Do I have to pay commission for that booking?

No, for cancelled bookings and no show-ups we do not charge any commission. In that case, just log into your account and cancel these bookings. Please note: We reserve the right to contact the customer to confirm us the cancellation or no show-up for the appropriate bookings.

Where can I change my billing address?

You can change your billing address in your account: "Dive Schools" > "Admin" > "Dive School Settings". Under currency options you are able to enter your valid VAT ID number as well.

Why did you charge me 19% German VAT?

By German law we are required to add 19% German VAT for companies located within the European Union. If you can provide us with a valid European tax identification number we do not charge you any VAT. Companies located outside the European Union do not have to pay any VAT, too.

When is the commission for confirmed bookings falling due?

You will be charged the commission for bookings with a starting date of the previous month. For example: On September 15, 2010 you receive a booking with a starting date of August 01, 2011. The commission for this booking will be listed in your invoice for August 2011. You will receive this invoice on September 5, 2011.

When is the invoice due?

You will receive our invoice on the 5th of each month. The invoice is due immediately after receipt of the invoice.

How can I settle my invoice?

You can pay your invoice by PayPal, MoneyGram or bank transfer. To change your method of payment please visit Your dive school > Admin > Dive School Settings.

I want to place an ad on ScubaVagabonds.com. How much are the rates?

Please contact us via our contact form and we will get back to you as soon as possible with our ad rates and plans.

I want to delete my profile and my dive school. How can I do that?

Please note: Deleting your profile does not automatically delete your dive school, too. Please delete first your dive school and then your profile. If you delete your profile without deleting your dive school first, the dive school´s status will be changed to "hidden". Only invited members can then join the dive school and you are not able to login any more. In that case, please contact us and we will delete your dive school for you. In any case we are sure that there will not be any reason to proceed that step.
