Behind the scenes of ScubaVagabonds.com
Boris Glumpler and Stefan Glumpler are two passionate divers with more or less a long-standing diving experience. Boris is a former Dive Instructor with more than 2.000 dives throughout Asia. He was working as a dive master and a dive instructor in Thailand and Indonesia and was managing a dive shop on Gili Trawangan, Indonesia for about 1.5 years. Whereas Stefan is still on his first log book with 14 dives in total and counting. He is an OWD with just one more adventure dive missing to become an Advanced OWD.
The idea
A few years ago, we were sitting together brainstorming about fantastic business ideas, great opportunities and, the most important part, free travelling and diving. The idea of ScubaVagabonds.com was born. After digging deep into restrictive German laws and regulations concerning tour operators and especially tour operators for diving trips, we dismissed this still fantastic idea and concentrated on other projects.
At the beginning of 2010, we were looking for social networks for divers being sure that there are already tons of them attracting divers from around the world. But the ones we found did not meet our requirements. Another idea was born. Let´s start with our own social network for divers: ScubaVagabonds.com is catering both to the needs of divers and to the diving industry. As being divers ourselves we are sure that we are located right at the needs of you.
